This award recognises new packaging formats that have a lower environmental impact. The packaging is used for cosmetics / personal care products and makes a difference in some of these areas:

• Material: The use of green(er) materials that have a lower environmental footprint
• Design: The design approach considers life cycle analysis
• Functionality: Maintains or improves functionality of packaging

Eligibility:

• Applications in cosmetic / personal care products
• Packaging introduced within the last three years
• Packaging has sustainability merits

Judging Criteria:

• Environmental Impact: Makes a measurable difference in terms of environmental impact
• Innovation: Some innovation involved
• Application: The potential to have wide applications in cosmetic / personal care products
• Verifiable: Evidence of sustainability claims
